PODERE LA VIGNA
Podere La Vigna is a family-run business born from the vision of Adriano and Sonia, who at the end of the last century decided to transform a long farming history into a winemaking project. The first “Podere La Vigna” Brunello di Montalcino was released in 1996, but the roots of this place go much further back in time: the estate was already listed in the Leopoldine land registry in 1850. Today, the company employs a total of four people and retains the artisanal spirit that has distinguished it since the beginning: from the vineyard to the bottle, every step is personally supervised. The company’s key word is “respect”: for the land it calls home, for the biodiversity that inhabits it, and for future generations. For years, synthetic chemicals have been eliminated from the fields, adopting exclusively organic treatments. This transformation has led to the return of a rich fauna: butterflies, caterpillars, bees, and a wide variety of insects once again populate the vine rows, while around the winery it’s not uncommon to encounter deer, wild boar, and numerous bird species, from house martins and swallows to eagles and herons. Authenticity, heritage, and hospitality aren’t just words, but the guiding principles behind every decision: to continue growing without losing our connection to our history, opening our doors to those who wish to explore the region through wine.
