The Wine House Melini is located at Gaggiano, at 300 metres altitude on the hills of Chianti Classico along the road which goes from Poggibonsi to Castellina. Melini has a long tradition which dates back to the year of its foundation, 1705, firmly rooted in the Tuscan region. Melini can boast three undisputed records: to have lead the way for the success of Chianti throughout the world since the 19th Century, to have been among the first in Tuscany to vinify the selected grapes of its most celebrated vineyards, according to ‘the principle of the cru’ (‘policy of the vineyard’) as the greatest expression of quality.
How to get
Take the Superstrada Firenze – Siena, Exit: Poggibonsi north. Follow Strada Statale 429 for 6 km till Gaggiano. Melini is in the centre of the town.
