To meet the Gaslini Alberti family is to encounter one of the true grand families of Italian wine. First Tuscany and then the rest of Italy can mark the date when quality became the guiding principle for the country’s wines: from the late 1970’s on. This objective had been in force at the Badia di Morrona ever since 1939, a fact which demonstrate both farsightedness and an awareness of the potential of this territory which arrived well in advance of others. 1500 total acres (600 hectares), 275 of which (110 hectares) planted to vines, 100 (40 acres) to olive groves, the rest woods and wheat fields. Rural hospitality in old stone farm houses, perfectly restructured and decorated, which can sleep a total of 120 persons. These are the numbers of a complex winery, but one which the Gaslini Alberti family guides and manages with the commitment and professionalism of true entrepreneurs of wine, exactly what they are.
