In Tuscany, Cantine Aperte in Vendemmia, the great event for those who want to live the emotions of the harvest, is coming back.

Harvest: the rediscovery of the merenda snack at Tuscany. The harvest is a party, people are happy, work of the whole year reaches its peak. The old landlords have always been concerned with refilling their harvesters, from lunch to merenda. In fact, among the rows is always the right time to have a snack. The basket is still grandmother’s time, the cutting board has been part of the family for years, the tablecloth is a middle ground between Sunday and everyday. Bread with tomato, fettunta, bread with salami and pecorino, the inevitable bread-wine-and-sugar. The glass of wine must never fail to toast the work of a year and at a time when we are all the same: enthusiasts, workers, owners, all with the aim of bringing home “a great vintage”.

The theme chosen by MTV Toscana for the 2018 edition is just the merenda snack, intended as a convivial event among wine lovers, who will have access to one of the most important and fascinating moments of the work of tuscan wineries, and the workers themselves, starting from owners and employees of the companies that will guide the participants in a trip never made. In the basket there will be the recipes of the past of each single territory. The tour of the vineyards, the ability to understand how the grapes from the vine ends in the cellar, will be enhanced precisely by a party, the snack, which the cellars of MTV Toscana will offer their guests giving the unique opportunity to relive for a day the atmosphere of the past.
