A Few Kilometres away from the most famous Tuscan destinations, such as Florence, Lucca and Pisa, we find Pistoia. Its landscape beauties and its artistic and cultural properties are so rich, that they are a true discovery for the visitor to see the harmony of all these beauties of the nature and the art masterpieces. The city of Pistoia is particularly rich in precious Romanesque and Renaissance monuments (many of them are Churches) and most of all can boast one of the most suggestive Square of Italy: Dome’s Square, that is the geometric centre of Pistoia and the monumental heart both civil and ecclesiastic power. It includes so many precious architectures of great value such as: the Cathedral of saint Zeno, the bell Tower, the Baptistery of saint John, the Bishop’s Palace, the praetorian Palace and the City Hall Palace. Instead for the mountain and nature’s lovers, Pistoia offers various trekking and cycling journeys and along the journey it is possible to taste many typical dishes of Pistoia thanks to the excellent restaurants of this town. Finally in winter the “Abetone Mountain” with its skiing station can receive many alpine-sport lovers from the beginners to the experts.
