Tenute Silvio Nardi is one of the historical wineries of Montalcino. Silvio Nardi bought di estate of Casale del Bosco in the north-west of Montalcino in 1950. He was the first “foreigner” in Montalcino and one of the founders of the Consorzio del Vino Brunello di Montalcino, the association of all the producers, in 1967. In the 70s he bought the other two estates of Manachiara (in the south-east of Montalcino) and Bibbiano (in the municipality of Buonconvento). The estate has always been managed with enthusiasm and dedication by the Nardi family who has pursued their commitment to quality and investment in research. Since 1985 Emilia Nardi is the general manager of the winery.
