On Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th September 2024 we will be able to spend a day together during the current harvest with a special guide; it will be Stefano CC who, after the guided tour of the historic winery, will accompany you through the vineyards full of Sangiovese with a special educational and fun trek in which you will be able to learn all the steps that will lead the grapes from the vines to the vats to transform into the long-awaited Brunello and taste – guided by expert staff – both the grapes and the fermenting must. The flavours, colours and aromas of the wine grapes that have reached perfect ripeness and the fermenting musts will reserve great surprises, with characteristics that are totally different from what you might expect. Also very interesting is the comparison and the big difference between grapes and musts produced with the particular \u201cno added chemicals\u201d process, that is without sulphites and any other chemical substance, and those produced with the \u2018conventional\u2019 process<\/p>\n

At the end of the first group and as the first step of the second, everyone in the Taverna with a special Menu entirely dedicated to the Harvest with dishes such as sausages cooked in wine, the cacio pazzo from the Caseificio dei Barbi, the sweet schiacciata with grapes, other delicacies and the inevitable red wine from Barbi, whether it is Brunello di Montalcino or another less demanding red.<\/p>\n

There will be two groups planned for each day:<\/p>\n

In the morning, starting at 11:00 (final step at lunch in the Taverna dei Barbi)<\/p>\n

In the afternoon, starting at 13:30 (initial step at lunch in the Taverna dei Barbi)<\/p>\n
