BADIA A COLTIBUONO

In 1051, the monks of the Vallombrosa order began building the monastery of “Buon Raccolto,” simultaneously planting the first native vineyards. In the fifteenth century, the estate experienced further development under the patronage of Lorenzo de’ Medici. In 1810, under Napoleonic rule, the monks were forced to leave the property. In the following years, the estate was sold, initially through a lottery, and in 1846 it was purchased by Michele Giuntini, ancestor of the current owners. Under the guidance of Piero Stucchi Prinetti, the farm was transformed into a company, establishing itself in Italy and abroad.
